Melissa D. Marks focuses her practice on civil litigation, criminal defense, domestic relations, and construction defect matters. Ms. Marks has successfully represented homeowners, civil litigation defendants, and a variety of clients in domestic relations and criminal cases. She has counseled clients in contract and domestic disputes throughout the litigation process and has guided them through mediation and settlement negotiations.

Ms. Marks is licensed to practice law in Colorado. Ms. Marks attended college at Boston University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2010. Ms. Marks attended Vermont Law School in South Royalton Vermont, where she earned her Juris Doctorate, cum laude. During law school, Ms. Marks was a Public Citizens Scholar and Merit Scholar. While in law school, Ms. Marks interned for the Adams County District Attorney’s Office in Brighton, Colorado, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration in Honolulu, Hawaii, and the Environmental Law and Policy Center in Chicago, Illinois. She received an Academic Excellence Award in 2011, and a General Practice Program Certificate in 2013.

Ms. Marks is an active member of the Colorado Women’s Bar Association, as well as the Colorado Bar Association, Family Law Section, Colorado Defense Lawyers Association and Denver Bar Association. Ms. Marks is also involved with the Mile High Young Professionals and Denver Young Professionals.
